Supporting women across Forth Valley with social, educational, and wellbeing programs that inspire growth, confidence, and connection.
Founded in 1999, Rainbow Muslim Women Group has been a community-driven force for positive change. We deliver educational programs, social initiatives, and empowerment opportunities for the vulnerable, building resilience, connection, and lasting impact across the Forth Valley area.
For over 20 years, Rainbow Muslim Women’s Group (RMWG) has supported families and individuals across Falkirk with compassion, dedication and practical action.
Now, RMWG is applying for the Community Asset Transfer of Thornhill Community Centre — with a vision to create a warm, inclusive and welcoming space for everyone in the community.
RMWG has a long and proven track record of strengthening community life, including:
Covid-19 emergency response delivering food and medicine to vulnerable residents
Operating food support services for families in hardship
Supporting refugee families rebuilding their lives
Providing discreet help to women facing crisis and domestic abuse
Delivering health, wellbeing and cultural programmes
Organising community-wide events such as Eid in the Park
Reducing isolation and building community cohesion
Their work benefits people of all backgrounds, ages and cultures.
If approved, the centre will:
Remain open and inclusive to the whole community
Expand wellbeing, education and volunteer programmes
Provide a safe and trusted community space
Strengthen unity and cross-community relationships
Improve energy efficiency to ensure long-term sustainability
We encourage residents to email Falkirk Council to show support for the Community Asset Transfer application.
