Stand With Rainbow Muslim Women’s Group

Help Secure the Future of Thornhill Community Centre

For over 20 years, Rainbow Muslim Women’s Group (RMWG) has supported families and individuals across Falkirk with compassion, dedication and practical action.

Now, RMWG is applying for the Community Asset Transfer of Thornhill Community Centre — with a vision to create a warm, inclusive and welcoming space for everyone in the community.

Why This Matters

RMWG has a long and proven track record of strengthening community life, including:

  • Covid-19 emergency response delivering food and medicine to vulnerable residents

  • Operating food support services for families in hardship

  • Supporting refugee families rebuilding their lives

  • Providing discreet help to women facing crisis and domestic abuse

  • Delivering health, wellbeing and cultural programmes

  • Organising community-wide events such as Eid in the Park

  • Reducing isolation and building community cohesion

Their work benefits people of all backgrounds, ages and cultures.

If approved, the centre will:

  • Remain open and inclusive to the whole community

  • Expand wellbeing, education and volunteer programmes

  • Provide a safe and trusted community space

  • Strengthen unity and cross-community relationships

  • Improve energy efficiency to ensure long-term sustainability
